Visiting Newcastle for the Eng vs Italy game

I'm coming across to Newcastle for the Eng vs Italy game on Fri 6th Sept (rubbish date, but nothing can be done about it).
I'll be getting to Newcastle from Cumbria, on the A69 and because I'm picking up the sprogs from school before I set off, time will be fairly tight.
Currently, I'm looking at heading for Callerton Parkway Metro station and using the Park and Ride - I'm thinking Callerton rather than Bank Foot or Kingston Park as I don't want to chance them being full and then having to try the next, then the next etc.

Is Callerton Parkway my best bet, or does anyone have another cunning suggestion ?

I suspect all would be fine Callerton is big enough and easy to get to after the game. Walk to and from haymarket stop in town

I am staying at the Premier Inn at Callerton that night - plenty of parking at the metro station and very easy trip into the city - about 20 minutes.

Thank you both for your thoughts - it seemed like a fair plan to me and even better that you've confirmed it for me
