So we got better in the second half?
Actually, yes.

Disappointing not to register a score, but, as I said on Farcebook, there's Gloucester-Hartpury and Saracens, then a gap, then everyone else. Also, the scrum struggles if Nick James isn't at tighthead—it was noticeable how it stopped going backwards as soon as she came on.

Oh dear. That's all I want to say. I was away for the weekend and watched this on my phone in a pub, being a bit anti-social. I can't bear to watch it again, so that is the only thought I had.

Red Roses v Ireland

Kildunne

Bern
Talling
Ives Campion
Feaunati
Kabeya
Matthews (VC)

Powell, Carson, Muir, Lutui, Burton, Hunt, Harrison, Sing

Jeez, that is scarily good and we can still add in Atkin-Davis, Ward, Stratford, Galligan and Heard who are all unavailable plus Botterman who seems to have been ill this week.

Not PWR but so good to watch the Red Roses play with flair. Ireland offered little in first half but woke up with a bit of self belief in the second.
Obviously a two horse race for the title but good rugby being played.

Down side was Natasha Hunt and Morwenna Talling will be out with “long-term” injuries.

The WRU confirm they have applied to put a team into the PWR next season. Probably a merger of Brythion Thunder and Gwalia Lightning. The IRFU have also initiated "interest" in joining as well, especially as Clovers and the all conquering Wolfhounds would create a very potent challenge. Scotland no doubt will follow in due course as the PWR builds on the popularity of women's rugby.
