SALE 15 Quins 12.

What a match that was, what a TEAM effort that was, what an atmosphere in the stand, what a final 20 minutes. :joy: Out-bloody-standing.

Here's a thought - the pitch is NOT good enough, the players deserve better so how about a game at the CorpAcq - just sayin'

Western Force 32 vs Blues 42

Forced to play away from home as there was something happening at the stadium Western Force played in Perth's northern suburb of Joondaloop. From this performance, might as well not bothered. Scoreline flattered Force who only started to play rugby when the game was lost. Long season looming.

Great match, great determination from the players. I still think Duffy is better at 10 though.

Pitch is terrible! Or is that our secret weapon?

Should we have a separate thread for the PWR?

No match for Sharks Women next weekend but Round 13 Sat 7 March has Loughborough Lightning at the Morson/Heywood Road. That might be the appropriate moment to start a PWR thread

It could be an opportunity to press for a better surface and a "showcase" game at the CorpAcq. ( I'd love to see Rhona Lloyd/Asia Hogan-Rochester get a run on a decent surface)

I wonder if our complete lack of success caused a lack of interest?

Moana Pasifika 19 vs Western Force 35

Bit late posting, I thought I had done it. Anyhoo, quite a comfortable win for Force in NZ in what amounted to their first win of the season and first win in 8 games (not counting pre season comp). Bit of a mad reshuffle before the game when the doc went to Force changing room and alerted them to the fact Ben Donaldson required a HIA as his gumshield had alerted. Kicked well for territory and made many meters. Dono kicking well from the tee as well.

Today Heaton Moor U17 47 Kirby Lonsdale U17 21 9 tries against 3.

Fairly satisfactory weekend.

Force went to sleep after the break when they relinquished a few points. Came back strong and can take many plusses from the game today.
No game next week so can rest up.

Drua beat Brumbies for the first time ! 45-27 including a try by CANAKAIVATA :joy:

Crusaders beat Highlanders 29-18 despite 3 yellows, one of which could have been a red but wasn't after review. Niggly game where it seemed driving into rucks from the side and round was perfectly legal. :brickwall:

A crushing 30 point second half from the 'Saders

Drua lost to the Reds but I've not watched the recording yet to see how our 2 Fijians played. Anyone else watched ?

Littleborough 34 Heaton Moor 24 21-0 down at half time so creditable comeback. Annoying to ship a try on final whistle to lose the second bonus point.

Winnington Park 2nds 31 Heaton Moor 2nds 55

Sadly the 3rds cried off agianst Crewe & Nantwich with insufficient players.

Today Heaton Moor U17s 38 Firwood Waterloo U17s 19 Through to the final of the Lancashire Cup

Kendal are now safe for another season (personally, I'd hope that they get level transferred back to the NW from the NE).
Bad news sadly for Penrith who are now relegated.

Southport 2nds 0 Kendal Vikings 98
A massive result against Southport who were 4th in the table. Even more massiver was that this was a double bubble game and Kendal get 10 points form it. Happy, Happy times for the Vikings

Western Force 14 vs Chiefs 24

After two losses in New Zealand Force had a week off. Did no good as they were second best to a strong, fast Chiefs side. On a plus, Xavier Roe looked sharp.

Crusaders 69 - Drua 26. That was emotional !

From the Cody Taylor's 150th game walk out and Haka to the final 20 minutes of insanely attacking ball in hand rugby. Eyewatering rugby from both teams. "Our" Canakaivata got 2 tries but his Hatrick was ruled out for a double movement. Cody Taylor got 4. Chapeau

The final 'Saders game at the Apollo Projects. So much history, so much emotion, so many victories. A fitting farewell

Queensland Reds 19 vs Western Force 42

Much improved Force dominated every aspect of the game today. A Franco Molina hat trick made sure Force got the bonus point too. Arguably the performance of the season so far. The expected debut of Zac Lomax didn't materialise after tightening his hammy on Thursday. But after losing both wingers in the first half, he may well start against Drua next week.

Fijian Drua 24 vs Western Force 22

We have bottom spot on the ladder and we ain't giving it up hahaha

Despite a late rally it was a bridge to far for the Force.
Donaldson was unusually off with the boot today. Lomax made his debut which was nothing to write home about.

Elia Canakaivata seemed pretty quiet to me but hard to tell on the TV.

Not So Super Rugby

Lifeless Crusaders beaten by dogged Reds in a game to forget. 19-19 for ages but final score 31-26. Plodding, clumsy, profligate handling and mostly dull. Only positive was the reffing by much maligned Angus Gardner.
