Quick question...

behind Denny, Yarde, Byron, Ashton and Reed (who we can assume will spend a fair chunk of the season recovering), who are our next wingers?

I think next in line would be Roebuck but not sure how many chances he’ll get this year with the first choice options available.

Rohan played wing a few times for the Lions too.

Roebuck is the next cab off the rank I believe. Though Doherty can play there as well I believe.

I've got my boots back on ready for the new season if they're short :joy:

I think Van Rensburg wwas capped more times on the wing than at centre.

I suppose Wilkinson, both James brothers and Redpath being able to cover 15 gives further back 3 depth .

I saw in last week’s rugby paper that Tom Brady has joined Sale FC. If we are desperately needing someone then that could be a plan.

He really did ‘go downhill’ career-wise after leaving us (like so many who left for “bigger clubs”)!

To be fair though, he hadn't climbed far up the hill whilst he was with us

Personally think that’s unfair. To continue/torture the analogy, if the summit is Lions Captain, base camp would (I guess) be a Prem contract.

Tom was, if I recall, a fairly frequent member of the match day 23 so had at least struck out on the final ascent.

How many ever even make it to base camp?

I had it in my head that he was the top try scorer in the Prem one year. Researched it and it was Rob Miller. There’s another who has arguably not scaled the heights he did whilst at Sale.

Brady wasn’t good enough to get enough gametime so he left. Probably slightly more money for a similar role. He didn’t leave for ambition reasons like others.
