Have to say when I saw the headline I was worried how much of next season he will miss… But then Sanderson says in the article that if he had the surgery now he would miss the end of the season and the first couple Lions’ games so seems like a quick rehab is likely. And given Lions tourists will likely have a stand-down period at the beginning of the season anyway hopefully Tom won’t miss any extra Sale games for having the surgery.

Also says however he don’t play this weekend due to the hamstring niggle he picked up at Leicester.

I'm always wary about putting off surgery, feel like it often backfires (like IFW's shoulder rehab leading to him missing the rest of the season for Chiefs) - hopefully not this time round

TC isn’t touring with the Lions in 2029, he just won’t make it with the way he plays surely. World class and it’ll be a long career but one that started early. I get why he wants to delay it because of that and so be it!

Missing TC and LCD for Friday is annoying.
