To me, the most interesting stat on there is Exeter top of the league but with the fewest offloads per game.

There’s a general view that in order to unlock defences you need to offload or do something different as defences are so good, however Exeter manage it through relentlessly keeping possession and generally playing safe.

My hope is that the changes to breakdown laws will most severely impact on them by allowing teams to challenge more at the breakdown and stop their incessant off feet (I know all teams do it somewhat but with Exeter it’s ridiculous).
