Not sure about the exact number, but I’d suppose we don’t have more than 4,000 ST holders, wonder what the social distancing plan would be?

My guess would be marked seats, to be occupied on a first come first served basis.

They may have to factor in Park n Ride aswell but I don't think it would be feasible.

Cant see it being first come first served. Will imagine full ST first then half ST then any left over to the open market. Given the (perceived) average age of ST holders I could imagine many will not want to come in the first instance anyway

Would like to think it possible, but all seems to be a buggers muddle to get ‘normality’ back in a hurry as part of a ‘Let’s have a normal December of festivities and deal with consequences in January’ approach to day to day life that seems to be on the up, currently.

Sorry I wasn’t clear. My first come first served was intended to refer to ST holders.

Worcester maybe in tier 2 (up to 2,000 fans) but Sixways is in Wychavon is it not?

Wychavon could be a higher tier which could mean no fans.

Yes Sixways is in Wychavon, why would you expect Worcester City and Wychavon to be in different COVID zones though?

We’ll find out on Thursday anyway won’t we?

It’s all Bromsgroves fault

Its going to be a close call in my opinion as to whether Warriors ground will be in Tier 1 (4000 fans allowed) or Tier 2 (2000 fans allowed)

The tiers will be announced on Thursday, but as of now (Tuesday 9 am):

England's average infection rate per 100,000 people is 228
Worcestershire's rate is about average at 207
Worcester's rate is likewise about average at 214
Wychavon (Sixways) is below average at 135
(FYI it's high rates in North Worcestershire around Redditch, Bromsgrove and Stourport that pull the county average up).

My GUESS as of today is that the tiers will be County based and that (given the stern messages being given) Worcestershire will be a tier 2 zone (so 2,000 fans)

My HOPE is that either zones will be based on districts (Wychavon) or that Worcestershire will be just below the threshold and will scrape into zone 1 (4,000 fans)

In any event, I just hope everyone stays safe and that no one gets ill or worse in the rugby community.

So what happens if ST holders are allowed in because it's tier 1 or 2 but they actually live in a tier 3 zone?

Just asking...

In theory you shouldn't be travelling in/out of a tier 3 zone (guidance only not law)

My ex Police contacts inform me that it’s highly unlikely that there’ll be a checkpoint on the M5/A449 roundabout anytime soon.
Seriously, if it were to be the case that Worcester City and Wychavon were in different tiers, it’s going to be unenforceable in any practical manner, as are virtually all COVID regulations when it comes to the actions of individuals.

What will surely happen will be that those concerned with their own risk profile will behave cautiously, and many others won’t.

Why would it be unenforceable?

The club could do their due diligence when issuing the ticket and any ST holder in a tier 3 post code doesn’t get one issued, therefore they have no reason to be anywhere near the stadium. This is presuming only ST holders will be allowed to attend on a first come first served basis.

The club “could do” due diligence in that manner, but would they? And post codes are deceptive, the village of Hartlebury less than 10 miles from Sixways, is in Worcestershire but has a DY postcode. Wonder what tier Dudley will be in? Gets complicated at that point!!

Agreed, many others won't ! Which is a great pity because they end up endangering those that are trying to be cautious anyway.
Just like the Government know they won't comply over Christmas, which is why they've eased the restrictions because they know anything else is unenforceable. Shame 'cos I think there will be a price to pay afterwards ..........
Apologies for going slightly off piste on this topic.

Absolutely no apology needed. The beauty of a decent forum is the ability to let discussions develop, and drift.

My first reaction to the possibility of getting back to the East Stand was one of some excitement, the beginning of life getting back to normal.

But second thoughts have started to creep in. This wretched virus is still very much with us and although I know that the Sixways management will have their plans in place I'm waiting to hear more of the detailed arrangements before making a decision as to whether or not to accept a place - if offered (a big 'if' until we know more).

There are those of us who are more vulnerable than others because of our age and who do have to be "jolly careful" not only for ourselves but for our families who would have to deal with any consequences if we caught "it".

Just who do you have in mind?
Overall, I can’t think of anyone who does that.
Here, we are all gentle folk.

Not really very impressed with the last few posts a bit unessary IMHO. We know what the views are on this forum about the SN site or an individual on it, I think we should leave it there. We don't see similar recent digs at the VF22.
Am happy to discuss tonight.

I imagine that we've all seen the e-mail from the club and / or the article on the Club's website.

There are no complaints from me about how the Club is going about things. It must have been quite a logistical / systems challenge to get it sorted.

As it happens I will not be putting my name in the hat and will look forward to 2021 when I hope that things can get to some form of normality and we can start worrying again about matters rugby and, inevitably, avoiding relegation.

A38+1.

Agree, I’m waiting until it’s a normal stadium visit. Quite apart from the slight but real risk, I’d feel it a soulless experience.
