The Saracens game is an absolute genius level move because it’s the same day as the Manchester Marathon. So much of the city centre and surrounding suburbs will be closed off and the travel network will be absolutely heaving.

I’m also somewhat annoyed as I’m running the marathon and assuming I start at the same time as last year, if I manage to hit my target time then I’ll be finishing by the University at about 1.15pm and the last thing I’ll want to do as an exhausted runner is fight my way through the crowds and onto the tram to get to the game from Piccadilly!

One game a month at home until July.

Not the club's fault, but a wider issue with the Premiership. Who the hell cares or can piece together a credible narrative about the Prem when it is one home game a month? How do you keep kids / fans engaged? Something special happens in the final minute v Sarries and we all go home thinking ' oooooh I cant wait for the Tiggers game, just four short weeks...'

Such as shame as for me Club rugby > International, and the League > than the Cups. But now its a busted flush.

I wonder if the club have specifically requested Sunday games as a trial to see if our attendances are boosted as a result of fans having more travel time.

They’ve been all in on Friday night games for the past few years but given how attendances seem to have dropped off this could be a concerted tactic. The Quinn’s and Sharks games (I know the first one was technically a Friday but a BH) had much better crowds.
