After engaging in some chat forum's with Chief's fans I am not overly optimistic. They have commented that his ruck clearance was very slow and he acted like a handbrake at times.

He sounds like a better version of Gus Warr with the same sort of game, just more refined. Maybe similar to Van Zyl who I personally think is one of the most under rated players in the league.

In the clips I have seen he has a decent break and backs up breaks like a good scrummy should
do. Much faster than Gus by the looks of things.

I'm not overly optimistic about it changing our style of play (as previous comment was hoping it would). He's not a Raffi Quirke type player.
Being similar to another player doesn't make them as good. I am a rangey ball playing 13 who likes a kick - doesn't make me Henry Slade.
Van Zyl has offered a lot of solidarity and consistency at Sarries and doesn't get the credit he deserves imo. Not the best in the league, but does his job very well.

I had no idea he didn't bring his family to Manchester with him. I can understand him wanting to return to the South West, but doubt he'll be first choice though with Oghre there.

I doubt he's looking to leave but imagine Oghre will have a lot of people interested in him after the last two seasons he's had - especially this season
Could see Saracens being interested with JG retiring and Theo Dan....lacking in the basics
