Hurricanes 38 Crusaders 31
Nip and tuck throughout, cautious kick fest most of the time but edgy and exciting when the running rugby broke out.
Major Talking Point - is Fainganuku the ultimate hybrid player. A winger everyday of the week but now shoehorned into a 7 for the injury depleted 'Saders. And hasn't he looked like Ardie Savaea in both games. :yikes:

The final game of the season for Kendal Vikings saw them going to Ormskirk to compete for the NOWIRL Trophy against Prenton 1st XV

Prenton 1st 10 Kendal Vikings 15

A brilliant way for the Vikings to round out what has been an absolutely cracking season for them.

Close - but Champions - Again

Sadly, Flumpty Jnr only managed a single game this season after trashing his knee in September, in the first game of the season

Very Super Rugby Pacific

Crusaders 36 Blues 20 (12-13 @ HT)

'Saders approaching full strength kept the ball in hand and just ran everything at an indisciplned Blues. Fainganuku once again incredible. On course to nil the Blues in the second half a red and a yellow (justified) gave the Blues a try only for 'Saders to hit back with a closing try with only 13 players. Fabulous rugby.
The Blues did however get the Hairdressing Award for fielding the most bleached blonde hairstyles.

Western Force 19 vs Queensland Reds 14

Ben Donaldson missed this game (and possibly next one) with a quad injury and Max Burey stepped into the big boots to fill and equated himself very well at 10. First 40 was quite evenly matched with not much to separate the teams who went in at 7-7 at half time.

Some great defending kept Reds at bay but in all honesty, Force were always the top team. 79 minutes saw Kurtley Beale make a great stop and strip the ball on was was a certain Reds try.

All smiles from Simon Cron at the final whistle but alas, too little too late for this season.

Not a fixture result, but a big result for the Club (IMO).
Kendal are being "Level Transferred" across from the NE and will be playing in the NW League for next season, which will save some very long and relatively slow trips to the NE and Humber.
Just up and down the M6, which is a lot quicker.
