Wgat do people make of the latest, dumbed down incarnation of our game? My fear us that this fast-food variant will mean skilled players featuring less in the full game as they are seduced into concentrating on the truncated, speed-is-everything variant. We are already seeing it happen with Sevens.

What will become of the game for men - and women - of all sizes?

Personally I'm all for the sevens, and believe it' the future for women's rugby, but other than the manic trailers on ITV I know nothing of Rugby X. I'll reserve judgement but don't expect too much.
